Awaken
'Awaken,' a 10"x10" mixed media and oil painting on a slim line canvas, is the second chapter in my ongoing series, 'The Song of Songs.' Drawing inspiration from the poetic and evocative verses of the ancient text, this piece is an homage to the profound beauty and symbolism found in nature and its connection to the human spirit.
At the heart of 'Awaken' is the Rose of Sharon and the Lily of the Valleys, two iconic blooms often associated with purity, renewal, and divine love. The composition invites the viewer to enter a realm of spiritual awakening and tender intimacy, where the interplay of light, texture, and color reveals a deeper story. Through layers of mixed media and the rich vibrancy of oil, I sought to capture the ethereal qualities of these flowers, celebrating their delicate yet resilient presence.
